This project was an opportunity for me to explore the foundations of parametric design and build a brand over my personal projects.

Everything you will see on this page was made and designed by me:
the content, the page, the illustrations, blue prints, and the furniture.

For better or worse, I’ve always looked for ways to do things I don’t really know how to do, starting from something I do understand.

This time around, I got to play with some basic geometric principles to connect segments, shapes, and volumes in a more intentional way. The one I leaned on the most was a simple geometric trick to divide a line segment into three equal parts, no measurements, just construction. It sounds small, but it ended up being super handy throughout the process.

For example, it helped me figure out proportions, like the relationship between how far apart a set of legs should be and the height at which they meet, forming a triangle. Simple stuff, but it makes a big difference when you’re trying to get things to feel just right.

Another thing I had to learn along the way was how to actually manufacture the furniture, like, physically build it. Up until that point, most of my focus had been on the digital or conceptual side of things, so wrapping my head around materials, joints, and construction techniques was a whole new world. It was all about translating an idea into something real, something that could actually exist in a space and hold up over time.

It was also really important to understand the limitations of each production method, things like what materials could handle, what machines could do, and how precise (or not) things could get. All of that had to be factored in as variables during the design process.
The goal was to create something flexible, a piece that could adapt easily to different manufacturing methods, even if that meant it might look slightly different depending on how it was built. In the end, the final form would be a reflection of the process itself, and that felt like an honest, almost poetic way to design.
